The Different
There are moments in a photographer's life when it quickly becomes clear that this is a very special situation. Then he has to press the shutter quickly enough to capture it. This is how the picture was taken. During the Nice Jazz Festival there was a commotion among visitors to a park when water began to spray from the sprinkler system embedded in the ground.
Everyone except one boy did not want to get wet and ran away. Only the little boy had completely different interests; he saw something on the ground that caught his attention and knelt down to examine it. He did not care about getting wet and did not let himself be disturbed. He broke out of the expected pattern of behaviour, which fascinated me. One could also take the boy's behaviour as an example. Especially in these difficult times, it is important to remain calm, one could think.

Wintery Cologne
Winter in big cities is often cold and wet, but when the snow - despite global warming - stays on the ground and it's foggy, it usually creates a beautiful and gloomy atmosphere that has a certain appeal for some people. For me, at least.

Carlights No. 1
The contrast between fast-moving cars and a long exposure time sometimes produces beautiful effects. You can basically see time flowing by. This has always captivated me.

The Skater
This striking black-and-white aerial photograph captures a lone skater gliding across a geometric concrete landscape. The ground beneath them is composed of large, interlocking polygonal shapes, creating a bold interplay of light and shadow. The sharp angles of the architecture contrast with the smooth motion suggested by the skater’s poised stance. A tree and its long shadow anchor the top edge of the composition, adding an organic counterpoint to the otherwise highly constructed scene.
Minimalist yet dynamic, the image evokes a sense of solitude, scale, and quiet exploration—where human presence becomes a subtle accent within an abstract, almost sculptural environment.
Available in the size 50x70 cm on Alu-Dibond or as fine art print in Halbe Frame with Passepartout.
