I’m happy to share the launch of my monthly newsletter.

This is the first in a series of newsletters I’ll be sending from now on - a space to stay connected more regularly and more personally. Each month, I’ll be sharing updates with insights into my creative process, new and ongoing projects, and highlights from my work.

Think of this newsletter as a quiet check-in from my artistic world - a place for reflection, discovery, and occasional surprises. Some months may focus on specific artworks or themes, others on what’s currently inspiring or challenging me in my works.

I’m grateful you’re here at the beginning of this series, and I hope these notes offer something meaningful, inspiring, or simply enjoyable to read.

What’s new

Launch of my Virtual Gallery

I’m excited to finally share something I’ve been quietly building for a while: my new artist website jemsaylorart.com.

This site is more than an update - it’s a new digital home for my work. At the heart of it is a virtual gallery, a thoughtfully curated space that brings together a selection of my artworks in one immersive experience. The gallery is designed to let you explore the pieces at your own pace, move between works intuitively, and engage with the collection as a whole rather than as isolated images.

Each piece in the gallery has been chosen intentionally, creating a dialogue between works and reflecting the themes, moods, and processes that currently define my practice. It’s the closest I can come to sharing the feeling of a physical exhibition - but one you can visit anytime, from anywhere.

Broken & Rusty

Time becomes most palpable to me when I encounter old, rusted objects - as if it briefly touches my skin, visually echoing the impermanence of being. Before sentimentality turns into melancholy ☺️, I’ll move on: I’m starting a new photo series, for which I’ve already collected several works. The series is titled “Broken & Rusty” and images of the works will be uploaded soon.
